Bark the Polar Bear is one of the one-hit-wonders from Sonic the Fighters, like Bean the Dynamite. He's slow and powerful like Big, but obviously is more of a fighter. He wears a touque and scarf, as well as the obligatory gloves and shoes. Bark also made a cameo appearance in Fighters Megamix.

Bark typically attacks using strong punches and by smashing opponents between his powerful boxing gloves. Bark is the third opponent of Sonic the Fighters, he is fought in an ice rink, this is supposedly his natural habitat.

He and Bean appear in issue #160 of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic, where they ambush Sonic on his birthday, but Bark finds himself outnumbered and surrenders to Fiona Fox. He also made a cameo appearance in issue #50. He also used to be part of a mercenary group which included Fiona and Bean and was led by Nack the Weasel. He have been recently featured as prominent characters in the comic.

Bark also makes an appearance in Shenmue as a collection toy.

Bark was also recently featured in Sonic Channel's character poll.

Trivia[]

  • His theme song is Fairy of A.I.F, which was remixed for Sonic Gems Collection.
  • He has a similar quality to Shadow the Hedgehog, Jet the Hawk, Silver the Hedgehog, and Storm, because they all have a triangular fur/feather patch on their chests.
  • In Sonic the Fighters, Bark's fur in his character select picture is darker than usual.
  • He made cameo appearance on the cover of Sonic X #15, Merry Eggs-Mas. He is a doll on Decoe's hands.
